Aug. 5: Watertown,MA. Beginner Shakuju Therapy with Diane Iuliano, L.Ac.. Shakuju Therapy is a method of treatment using acupuncture and
moxibustion. This is a non-insertive technique for practitioners to use on
pediatric or adult patients for any condition. This is a basic
introductory class to Japanese style acupuncture. For those with no
training in Japanese Acupuncture, this class is prerequisite to the
Introductory and Advanced courses. The course will give very basic
information regarding palpation of the pulse, and the positioning of the
practitioners body and hands. Basic abdominal palpation and abdominal
zones will be taught. Additionally, instruction on how to hold the needle
for adjusting the pulse and contact needling will be taught. $195

Aug. 7-8: Watertown, MS. Introduction to Shakuju Therapy with Kobayashi
Shoji. Prerequisite: Japanese acupuncture training or completion of the
Beginner Shakuju on Aug.5. Shakuju therapy is a method of treatment using
acupuncture and moxibustion. This is a non-insertive technique for
practitioners to use on pediatric or adult patients for any condition.
Participants will learn the basic treatment style and theory behind
Shakuju Therapy. The course will outline basic treatment forms and

 Aug. 9-10: Watertown, MA. Advanced Shakuju Therapy with Kobayashi Shoji. Prerequisite: Introduction to Shakuju Therapy on Aug. 7&8. This course will review the theory and concepts behind the treatment style, and delve further into treatment and understanding, and the use of diagnostic tools of Shakuju Therapy. Participants will learn in depth the procedure of
Shakuju Therapy that is composed of fundamental and supplemental
treatment. The advanced course will teach additional ways of clearing the
